Airbus H125

The India H125 programme marks a significant milestone for the country’s rotary-wing aerospace manufacturing ecosystem. Tata Advanced Systems Limited has established India’s first private-sector helicopter Final Assembly Line (FAL) to manufacture the Airbus H125 helicopter in Vemagal, Karnataka.  Tata Advanced Systems’ entry into helicopter manufacturing represents a strategic extension of its capabilities, built on years of expertise in aerospace and defence technologies. As part of the programme, the company undertakes the assembly, integration and testing of H125 helicopters, including structural, mechanical and electrical systems integration, enabling a fly-away helicopter to be available for delivery in India.

 The ‘Made in India’ H125 will serve both civil and defence markets. For civil and para-public missions, the helicopter supports emergency medical services, disaster management, tourism, law enforcement and regional connectivity under the Government of India’s UDAN scheme, while also supporting defence and security applications The platform will also be available for export across the South Asian region.  The H125 programme builds on the industrial collaboration between Tata Advanced Systems Limited and Airbus following the establishment of the Airbus C295 military transport aircraft Final Assembly Line in India, further strengthening the country’s aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.
